Regional sales manager

Regional Sales Manager The Project Sales Manager is a key business development position at DAK, reporting to the SVP Sales and Marketing.

The PSMs’ primary role is to contribute to overall business and revenue growth targets through selling material handling solutions within an assigned territory.

Specific and New Business Development: Within an assigned territory you will call on potential customers to promote new sales of material handling equipment, systems and solutions.

End to end management of new project sales including solution development and proposal, collaborating and managing solution partners through completion of project and satisfaction of the customer.

Proactive prospecting within territory and leveraging internal CRM to manage pipeline and daily prospecting activities.

Existing Customer Relationship Manager: Primary responsibility for existing customer relationship For existing customers, ensure all customer support activities are being handled and collaborate with internal to solve all issues Establish a customer visit cadence to ensure current/emerging needs and requirements are met Maintain relationships with key equipment dealers, sub-contractors, manufacturers, vendors and supplier reps Other: Compensation for this position is base-plus commission and calculated off gross profit generated from project sales.

Total compensation is heavily weighted toward commission to ensure achievement of highest compensation.

Cell, mileage and other expenses, consistent with DAK expense policy, are covered by company.

Expectations of Project Sales Manager: Establish a prospecting system which includes daily/weekly number of calls, visits, emails etc.

Consistent use of internal CRM to manage pipeline and prospecting activities Follow up with all leads supplied by company and document in CRM Provide professional proposals, presentations and appearance Solicit prospects who are consistent with DAK’s financial and cultural requirements Understand the full breadth of DAK equipment and solutions and clearly convey information in form of solutions to customer Provide customer, competitive and industry insights to company Provide any reporting and/or documentation to SVP and internal team to ensure project management integrity Collaborate and leverage internal engineering capability Hit revenue goals at the established margin guidelines Follow established procedures when working with the internal office staff and warehouse departments Travel to corporate office for monthly sales meetings as required Required Skills/Experience:
· BS degree in Business, Operations or related field
· 2-4 years of documented success in direct sales.

· 2-4 years of experience in the material handling or logistics related industry and in-depth knowledge of racking an dautomated warehousing/distributionsoltuions (Conveyor, AS/RS, AGV’s, etc.)
· Experience with consultative selling and complex sales
· Results oriented and driven
· Effective communication with all levels of management including C Suite.

· Strong computer skills for all Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Working Environment
· Remote position requiring highly disciplined approach
· 90% travel within territory to prospect, customers, dealers, vendors, manufacturing facilities etc.

· The demands of the position often exceed normal working hours.

Company workloads may require work after hours or on weekends.
