Meridian helps maximize the value of technology investments with our technology adoption experts and their 3000+ certifications, flexible consumption and deployment models, contract and service management, global service and support, and custom finance options.Position SummaryThe Meridian Sales Director will recruit, hire, train, manage, coach, and retain a team of 5-8 Account Executives and will be responsible for achieving and exceeding Meridian’s aggressive sales development and sales invoicing goals in a specified territory.

The Sales Director is a quota-carrying and commissioned position.The Sales Director will be responsible for researching and opening new markets, developing a sales deal pipeline, closing business, building and leading a sales team of Account Executives, navigating through a complex IT services sales process, and competing against large services vendor incumbents.

The Sales Director will also be leading a regional team in their success towards bringing in new opportunities and meeting quotas, and understanding and partnering with vendors such as IBM, Cisco and having a sound knowledge in Managed and Cloud Services market.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRecruiting, hiring, training, managing, coaching, and retaining a fully staffed team of Account Executives.Maintain a pipeline of qualified Account Executive candidates to quickly fill available positions on their team, pursuant to known gaps in territory coverage, existing Account Executive challenges, and potential terminations, general attrition, and territory growth.

Work closely with corporate functions (Enablement, HR, IT, Marketing, Sales Ops) to provide a quick and efficient onboarding experience for Account Executive through tailored training and individual development programs to ensure success in the role.Ramping each new Account Executive to full productivity in accordance with their ramping and training plan through mentorship, shadowing, tracking/auditing, and adjusting accordingly, the progress of the Account Executive.Managing and growing their business and team through a series of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities and duties and consistently achieve or exceed territory development goals, sales invoicing quotas, Key Sales Objectives (KSO’s), and any Management by Objectives (MBO’s) set by Sales and Executive management.Expanding sales to existing accounts within each Account Executive’s territory.Assuring each Account Executive’s Lead, Opportunity, Deal Desk Approvals, Legal Requests, Sales Matrix Approvals, and paperwork is up to date and accurate, and processed timely in accordance with Company guidelines.Effectively using all provided sales management tools, technologies, systems, and reporting to manage and drive the success of each Account Executive.Producing and providing all required Sales VP forecasting and reporting to Regional, Theatre, Sales Management, and Executive Management in an accurate and timely fashion.Developing and executing against a territory plan to exceed business development and quota targets.Define target accounts and work directly with the Account Executives to prepare account penetration and expansion plans, within 3 months of the Account Executives being hired.

Guiding prospects and existing clients to Meridian products & services through a solution selling approach.Collaborating with Marketing to drive a coordinated Go-To-Market approach.Representing Meridian at regional business development conferences and events.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience (10+ Years)Extensive experience in B2B Sales and Sales ManagementExperience with hiring and building a sales teamMeridian Group International, Inc.
