ComAp Group, The Heart of Smart Control, is seeking a Project Manager to grow our team.

ComAp is a dynamic international company with a solid reputation for delivering innovative electronic solutions to the power generation, industrial engine and equipment market.

This is a newly created position intended to support large upcoming projects in the America’s region.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the systems used to manage projects and their associated actions, for the allocation of resources to meet the project objectives as requested by sales and approved by the proper management staff.

Duties include implementation of “best practices” for project efficiency, management of work throughout the processes identified and ensuring ComAp LLC will meet the customer desired results in the project outcomes.

Your daily work may include the following:
Review project requests to ensure they are feasible and approved

Define milestones and workflow of projects for all technical areas including resource allocation timelines as well as solving challenges in the process

Achieve Timing, Cost and Specification intent targets of the project

Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, HQ and Managerial staff to ensure project progress is understood and obstacles are addressed

Act as the liaison between our U.S.

engineering/operations team and the global staff to ensure project actions needs and results are clearly communicated to all parties

Ensure approval of customer based requirements are met within boundaries of overall company strategic direction

Deliver a thorough understanding and ability to communicate customer requirements to appropriate team members for various commercial requests

Comprehend strategic direction and maintain project focus with the parameters set forth by the Management Team.

Drive phase gate reviews of the technical steps required to deliver value to the customer

Manage rev control of documents, software and files

Conduct project kickoff and closeout meetings to ensure objectives are clear and outcomes are carried forward for the future

Able to coordinate activities with remote staff in various time zones

Understand technical attributes of the entire product line to aide in delivery of customer centric solutions
What we expect from you:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 4-5 years of previous project management experience

PMP certified or demonstrated experience in the use of practices from the Project Management Book of Knowledge

Proficient with office software suites including Microsoft Project or similar

Ability to travel, both domestic and internationally up to 50% of the time

Strong presentation and written communication skills

Strong networking and negotiation skills
