Marketing Manager

This is a Full-time position in Calumet City, IL posted February 22, 2021.

Roman Products is currently seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager for our Calumet City, Illinois location to pr ovide dynamic, creative and fresh marketing services and functions for Roman Products, LLC.

Essential and Primary responsibilities will specialize in a variety of areas within marketing.

Channel / Customer Marketing

· Serve as marketing contact for new and core customers.

· Manage the on-boarding and maintenance of products to retailers and distributors

· Prepare, research, analyze and participate in the presentation of customer Line Reviews

· Organize, prepare, ship, and participate in customer shows and events

· Provide in-person or virtual product training to customers

· Contribute to research and analysis required for price increases

· Develop and launch merchandising layouts, planograms and fixturing

· Manage WERKsmart, in concert with technical personnel, as required by The Home Depot, Lowe’s, amazon and Walmart

Graphic Design

· Design catalogs, sell sheets, rebates, and other product literature

· Design product packaging and shipping materials for new products

· Update, revise product packaging

· Manage product packaging updates to minimize waste of existing labels

· Work with manufacturing broker in China to ensure import items are manufactured to specifications

· Manage company printshop vendors to produce banners, signage and collateral materials

· Photograph, video and edit products for use in catalogs, sell sheets, and online

Product Marketing

· Work with the team to develop new products

· Launch of new products (Field testing, Campaign / Strategy design, Development of collateral materials).

· Update, refresh, reposition core products to drive incremental sales, and placement with new customers/new channels of distribution

Brand Marketing

· Market and support the company brand across all sectors

o Product Consumers Wallcovering installers and related professional contractors

o Wallcovering Manufacturers and Distributors

· Intellectual Property

§ Key contact with ROMAN’s intellectual property attorneys

§ Manage the registration and renewal of ROMAN trademarks

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

At least three years of experience working in a marketing role.

Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) (Epicor CMS – Solarsoft.)

 Experience with the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) and understanding of Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) and barcode standards.

Experience using product content management tools such as Syndigo, CVP, IDM or other proprietary data management systems.

Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange system and the common document types used in B2B communications.

 Proficient videographer, photographer and excellent writing and proofing skills.

Qualifications

 Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planner such as Epicor CMS – Solarsoft.

 Experience with the Global Data Synchronization Network and understanding of Global Trade Item Number and barcode standards.

Experience using product content management tools such as Syndigo, CVP, IDM or other proprietary data management systems.

Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange system and the common document types used in B2B communications.

Technical ability to preparation documents in accordance with regulatory standards, guidelines and regulations.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing or related field and/or 3 plus years’ experience in Marketing. 

 

Computer Skills

 Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

 Familiar with ERP platforms and the ability to navigate within the system.

Advanced PowerPoint Skills and Excel skills.

 Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects

 Experience with preparing artwork files for printing by digital and traditional printing methods.

  Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or  Concrete5,

Proficient in SketchUp (or equivalent program) and experience with WERCsmart system.
