Job Summary

The Market Research and Insights Senior Consultant will be responsible for providing valuable support to senior members of the Market Research Insights and Intelligence team and deliver insights to business stakeholders which influence decisions.

They will do this by utilizing DIY research tools to design and field qualitative and quantitative research studies.

The Senior Consultant will manage the planning, implementation, and analysis phases of these research projects.

Key Responsibilities

• With some input from their manager, the Senior Consultant will be expected to manage several ad hoc projects at a time to obtain consumer feedback and insights to drive Allstate initiatives.

• Meet with senior members of the MRII team and/or with the business partners to discuss and define research needs, assisting them in completing the research request form, and developing a research plan to address their specific research objectives and questions.

• With some input from manager, assist in guiding business areas through the market research and insights process to determine the most efficient and effective research approaches for their business questions.

• Use of external research vendor DIY tools to execute market insights projects, as needed.

This includes development of screeners and questionnaires, fielding of research, developing the first draft of research reports, reviewing draft reports with their manager or other Market Research Insights and Intelligence team members, and providing support through completion of the final report.

• With some manager guidance, analyze and interpret marketing research data and develop meaningful key findings and implications for the business.

• With little input from manager, prioritize workflow across several projects – demonstrating the ability to work independently, plan, execute, and complete a variety of projects in a timely manner.

• Occasionally, present research findings to more senior level business team members in both formal and informal settings, ensuring the audience understands technical aspects of the research and demonstrating the ability to influence and persuade others.

Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 3 or more years of related experience

• Strong analytic problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

• Attention to detail and ability to quickly review research findings to distinguish relevant insights for business stakeholders.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and to balance details with broad strategic perspective.

• Ability to understand and transform business objectives into actionable research initiatives.

• Ability to work independently and be flexible to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to pull disparate pieces of information together for a cohesive and insightful story and highlight key takeaways and action points for the cross-functional team.

• Strong communication and story-telling skills in both written and oral settings.

• Positive, cooperative attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork both inside and outside the department.

Compensation
Compensation range for this position is $75,000 – $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
