Our customers include OEM and Tier 1 automotive companies.Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Human Resources & Safety Manager to join the Flooring Products Group in our facility in Morris, IL.In this role, you will work closely with management to ensure partners are safe while promoting positive employee relations.You will guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resource services, policies, and programs including Safety, and other company initiatives.What will my day-to-day look like?Provide leadership in all key human resources processes, including manpower planning, staffing, talent development, performance management and communicationsLead, support and implement all company safety programsEnsure compliance and reporting requirements with all Corporate, state and federal regulationsSupervise and/or prepare appropriate documents regarding terminations, job placements, and other employment mattersProvide support for branch Affirmative Action ProgramMaintain employee benefit information and personnel filesAdminister/manage accident investigations, workers compensation cases and OSHA logCoordinate safety teams and conduct safety as well as all other trainingCoordinate employee related activitiesHands on experience in union environment, conflict resolution, positive employee relations, administers collective bargaining agreement and grievance handlingPositively contribute to continuous improvements in employee retention, training and moraleYour success will be because you are/have…A minimum of 3 years Human Resources Management in a manufacturing environment is preferredA minimum of 3 years Safety experience in a manufacturing environmentBachelors degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety or related field and/or 7-10 years working in an HR and/ or Safety Managers role.Understanding of OSHA, accident investigations and State and Federal Labor LawsExperience with working in a labor union environment is preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsWell organizedAttention to detailExperience writing policies and proceduresProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power PointBe comfortable working inside various computer programs on a daily basisby Jobble
