– North Supply Chain Logistics function.

This includes direct responsibility for the effective and efficient movement of product through the supply chain working cross-functionally with the other leaders to ensure the business unit achieves the expected results.Key Job Responsibilities:* Development of a culture in Supply Chain Logistics that places safety first, drives engagement at every level and embraces diversity and inclusion.* Daily fulfillment of orders by ensuring the accurate and timely movement of product through the supply chain to the end destination, maintaining product freshness and integrity throughout in BBU and third party partner operations.* Developing an annual financial plan for the areas of responsibility, aligned with the broader plan of the business unit, monitoring actual results and taking actions to ensure financial commitments are met.* Partner with third party logistics providers to ensure effective and efficient operations delivering acceptable service levels in distribution and transportation.* Partner with manufacturing & co-pack team to determine optimal sourcing strategy to achieve Lowest Landed Cost (LLC) within Business Unit.* Driving waste elimination through the development of plans for increasing the efficiency of the supply chain, ensuring accountability within the team, monitoring actual results and making adjustments in the plan as necessary.* Instill a “Lean” practices culture, founded on a Continuous Improvement mindset to eliminate non-value adding activities.* Participate as a member of the supply chain logistics team in the development and implementation of plans to standardize and optimize processes and technology.* Ensure proper product accountability processes are being followed and monitor results to identify and resolve any issues with shipping accuracy.* Monitor performance metrics relative to cost and service level and make adjustments as necessary to lower cost and meet service expectations.* Monitor the performance of the third-party transportation network seeking out ways to optimize the transportation system.* Work closely with sales management to ensure that sales center shipping is performing effectively including product accountability processed in place, service levels meeting the needs of the business and costs as low as possible.* Ensure the effective execution of company initiatives including new methods of distribution, new products and seasonal business requirements.* Assure and maintain operations compliance with required certifications and regulatory agencies.* Take on special project as assigned.Job Requirements* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.* At least 10 years of related and varied experience in managing transportation, distribution, and/or manufacturing operations.* Experience developing and implementing complex solutions.* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.* Experience using tools and software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.* Ability to travel, visit facilities/sales centers/distribution centers within the business unit.* Strong analytic skills with attention to detail.* Must be able to plan & accomplish goals with limited supervision.Key Behavioral Competencies:* Ability to build strong business relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.* Ability to lead and coach special projects while meeting specific timelines and objectives.* Ability to establish objectives, ownership of work, and accountability for results.* Ability to comprehend and communicate complex information effectively to gain alignment.* Ability to make strategic business decisions impacting short and long term.* Ability to manage and influence P&L results.* Ability to cultivate talent through coaching.This position is a key leadership role which requires the successful candidate to work comfortably across functional lines, engage people at all levels of the organization and articulate ideas that drive the business toward near and long term objectives.Physical DemandsThe physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
