The GAP Claims Manager directly manages GAP Claims team to ensure quality and efficient delivery of service to customers.

He/she is responsible for understanding resource availability/performance and directs the team based on business needs.

This Manager must have a strong technical knowledge of the claims adjudication process.Primary Manages the Team’s DeliverablesEstablishes team goals that align with overall departmental goals and strategyRoutinely reviews the team’s deliverables in relation to established goals and standardsProvides oversight to ensure production and quality standards are metResolves problems and establishes an escalation processDrives improvements in team productivity by developing employeesServes as an escalation point to Senior GAP Adjusters and Team Support Specialists, this includes providing direction on claims adjudication decisions, over-limit approvals and customer escalations Manages Individual ContributorsManages performance to drive results and meet productivity and quality standardsDrives employee engagement and motivates employeesProvides feedback and coaching to improve the overall performance of the teamDefines roles and responsibilities within the team and assigns work appropriatelyPromotes culture of high performance by differentiating rewards and recognitionManages employee development within the team and leverages talent across the departmentIdentifies training needsResponsible for recruitment of talent and the performance management of team membersPlans, organizes and assigns the work as it relates to workflows within the team and coordinates processes across the larger functional areaDrives and promotes continual process improvement for overall department/functional areaCreates an environment which facilitates cross-departmental and cross-functional training opportunities and ensure synchronization of processes between departments/areasInterfaces and fosters relationships with other functional areas and leaders in the organizationAttends critical meetings that impact the team workflows and deliverablesCoordinates work across areas both externally and internallyResponsible for and acts as a liaison for cross-functional teamsProvides effective communication across the organizationConducts team meetings, individual meetings and communicates with peers and/or other support personnel in the organizationTranslates business goals and direction to ensure alignment with overall department goalsRoutinely identifies and shares information and solicits feedback regarding process improvements and general company departmental informationCascades information and implements communication plans Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 2 years of management experienceClaims experience in Total Loss (GAP) and/or Ancillary Products is a plusProven ability to understand technical concepts and adapt to new systems and applicationsProven interpersonal skills, communication skills and organizational skillsStrong aptitude to problem solve and analyze data
