About the role
Menlo Security is looking for an engineer and team lead to join our US/UK Web Isolation group.

You will be responsible for extending our world-class remote browser technology to mobile platforms, handling both browser and application traffic on iOS and Android platforms.

Example work areas include network traffic steering, browser vs.

application traffic classification, video/audio remoting, touch-event handling, orientation/viewport handling, and the browser/application link interface.

In addition you will work with parts of the remote browser system common to desktop browsing, with an emphasis on Chromium internals.

Most importantly, you will act as team lead for the effort, helping flesh out the mobile feature set and run the associated projects.

The Web Isolation team is highly experienced and collegial, with a strong design and code review culture.

Though the job is strongly browser-focussed, we encourage candidates with systems-level experience in non-browser technology areas to apply if you feel your skill set can be applied to new challenges.

Your Experience
The ideal candidate understands browsers at a deep level, has experience with mobile traffic steering, and has led small teams in complex projects.

Desirable experience for the role includes:
Proven record leading projects, including requirements definition, liaising with Product Management and QE, and participating in release workflows.

Strong C++ skills.

Strong knowledge of Python and Javascript are highly desirable Strong HTTP fundamentals Strong networking fundamentals Strong knowledge of HTTP security Mobile device configuration (MDM) experience Knowledge of iOS and Android app stores and associated issues Ability to write clean, concise and maintainable code Strong written and verbal communication skills Proactive, ambitious, and strong ability to learn new things Highly organized and detailed with critical attention to detail and documentation BSc or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.
