  • Assist the management team in maximizing sales by creating, promoting and overseeing a fun, profitable store
  • Promote a team-oriented, sales-focused culture with managers and sales associates
  • Create a friendly, courteous and professional environment at our stores
  • Work to instill a customer service mindset with sales associates

Work Schedule

  • Part-time status
  • Flexible schedule based on performance, store needs and associate availability
  • Weekends required
  • Non-exempt

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales

  • Successfully achieve individual sales goals
  • Establish self as part of a sales-oriented team
  • Promote superb customer service
  • Suggestive sell additional products
  • Thank every customer for shopping with the organization
  • Create energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere
  • Ensure store is optimally stocked
  • Share Company-driven promotions with every customer

Merchandising

  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free store, including sales floor, stock room and restrooms
  • Ensure the daily cleaning schedule is followed
  • Learn and follow visual guidelines of the Company
  • Participate in merchandising and visual needs of the store

Operations

  • Ensure the daily priorities are completed
  • Open/close the store as needed
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures; i.e. daily deposits; dress code; conduct; processing of transactions; store opening / closing and other
  • Supervise the store and personnel in the absence of the manager
  • Complete the daily opening/closing checklist
  • Accurately complete paperwork

Shrinkage

  • Protect all Company assets
  • Promote shrink awareness, comply and enforce all policies and procedures per Company directives
  • Perform weekly cycle counts if directed
  • Process claims of damaged merchandise when directed

Communication

  • Accept constructive criticism and direction from all levels of the Company
  • Keep Management informed of any/all situations or issues that arise while they are on duty
  • Participate in monthly store meetings
  • Respond to phone calls, emails and personal interactions promptly and professionally

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to successfully interface with a wide variation of associates, managers and customers
  • High school degree or equivalent
