Guidewire Test Lead

This is a Full-time position in Schaumburg, IL posted July 20, 2021.

Zurich is currently searching for a Guidewire Test Lead to join the Guidewire Policy Center program as a member within the Information Technology Services team out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

This team is accountable for executing on a strategy that focuses on building Guidewire testing competencies and developing efficiencies for Zurich?s underwriting organization.

As the Test Lead, you will be responsible to design and develop the Testing Strategy for all phases of the testing including Sprint testing, System Integration, Regression, Automation & Performance testing for multiple projects on the platform.

You will also be responsible to assess and mature the current testing capabilities and help in integrating with existing CI/CD pipeline.

The Test Lead will be working with other vendor Test Leads / Offshore teams to develop test accelerators / test harnesses that can optimize overall regression testing cycle times and coverage.

Other primary accountabilities include: * Assist management and vendor Test Leads with assessing Test frameworks / tools, resource planning, estimations and planning * Play a key subject matter expert role in the area of software quality assurance testing; remain current with industry trends with testing techniques and methodologies * Partner with Zurich testing staff and other strategic testing vendors to provide implementation testing support of technology solutions in an Agile environment * Partner with Business Analysts/Business SME?s to help define Integration, User Acceptance and Regression testing strategy/plan * Provide day to day direction to the testing teams which includes onsite and offshore contract resources * Participate in daily stand-up/Scrum calls and project status meetings to provide testing status and testing metrics * Identify key risk items and dependencies and communicate effectively with cross functional teams and management Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree and 8 or more year of experience in the Quality Assurance area Preferred Qualifications: * 3 or more years of experience with Test strategy, design, planning and execution for Guidewire Underwriting Management / Policy Center transformational programs * 3 or more years of experience with Guidewire projects/implementations in the P&C insurance industry with focus on Test Design, planning and execution techniques * Experience in a lead Test role * Guidewire Certifications * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Experience collaborating across functional teams * Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills * Ability to multi-task and work in an agile environment * Excellent organization and planning skills A future with Zurich Now is the time to move forward and make a difference.
