Brokerage Specialist (Benefits Brokerage)

Position Summary
**Looking for someone who can manage the quoting and assessment of risk for client renewals and new business policies in conjunction with organizational strategies.**

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for reporting and data analysis as it pertains to benefits plans.
Collaborate with Benefits Account Consultants and Underwriters on current client renewal data.
Partner with Business Development Consultants to provide new business benefits quotes.
Leverage technology to drive process improvements, intra-team and cross-functional team collaboration and efficiencies.
Act as liaison with the Benefits Administration department to share data for pre and post renewal activities.
Lead the administration of master plan renewals for both medical and non-medical plans.
Partner with other compliance colleagues across the organization and to champion compliance for benefits in general and specifically with brokerage.
Maintain knowledge of updates and industry information and update the Tandem client service teams.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in related field required.
Deep knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, including the development of SPDs.
Ability to gather and analyze information in order to understand and interpret complex situations.
Proficient in developing analytical tools and reports to address issues or concerns.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in benefits brokerage.
Strong written and oral communications skills including the ability to create organized and articulate summaries of risk assessment findings/points of view that are easily understood by teammates, executives and other users.
Ability to deal professionally, calmly, and effectively with high stress situations.
Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
o Advanced proficiency in Excel
