Job Description Sr.

Inventory Specialist This person will be considered a “Sr.

Inventory Specialist” for the first year in this role.

During this time, they will learn our current process, products, and procedures.

The intent is that they will become the Inventory Supervisor.

Our current inventory is stored in a “Kasto” machine.

Kasto is the name of the company that built it.

We are not expecting anyone to be familiar with “Kasto”.

It is sort of a large vending machine.

We have two, one for large products and one for the small sized products.

Each Kasto machine has 4 stations.

Each station manages several rows of inventory.

Our inventory associates, work at each station to store/ pull product.

We currently have an inventory staff of 6 employees.

For this role, we are looking for someone who has “been there, done that”.

They must have previous experience managing inventory in a manufacturing/ warehouse environment.

We have over 1,000 parts/ part numbers so this person will help organize the inventory and implement a more efficient tracking system.

They must have good investigative skills.

If something is out of place, what will they do to resolve the error?

They are responsible for reducing variances, completing reporting, cycle counts, reconciliations, etc.

Associate degree is required.

This is a direct placement.

Comp is $50-60k.

Under some supervision, responsible for managing inventory control.

This includes but not limited to, analyzing variances, managing cycle counting process, preparation of documents and procedures, and special projects as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 1.

Analyzes inventory variances and proactively corrects the concern and identifies the root cause to stop repeated issues.


Analyzes production and sales reports to prevent overstock.


Leads and performs activities to monitor and maintain inventory control of finished goods and raw materials.


Creates and maintains productive processes to ensure inventory accuracy and reduce variances.


Proactively conducts daily inspections to determine supply related needs.


Collaborates effectively with other teams on inventory needs and concerns.


Completes cycle counting activities to include counting, reporting, reconciliation, and all other related functions.


Prepares paperwork and maintains documents related to shipping and traffic.


Performs purchase order receiving activities and collaborates with purchasing committee.


Develop and maintain inventory processes and team to meet production, quality, and safety Company objectives.


Responsible for special projects as assigned by management.


Responsible for training backup personnel to perform all inventory functions.


Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Job Qualifications: 1.

Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.


3-5 years previous manufacturing production or warehouse/shipping experience required.


3-5 years previous experience leading a team.


3-5 years previous experience managing an inventory process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1.

Proven successful experience analyzing and problem-solving issues.


Excellent organization skills and able to multi-task.


Meticulous attention to detail.


Ability to resolve day-to-day issues.


Ability to properly prioritize activities in work in a fast-paced environment.


Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including at least intermediate level of Excel.


Good written and verbal communication skills.
