Job Title: Payroll Engineer
Department: Service/Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager
Effective Date: ASAP
Job Summary:
In this unique and rewarding position, the Payroll Engineer aids with and facilitates all things payroll for our clients.

You’ll apply your already established skill set and knowledge to recommend enhancements to clients’ current practices, implement best practices, and process quality and timely payroll.
You’ll play the liaison between the client and their chosen vendor, completing payroll projects and tasks and administering all payroll changes.

This position also works in tandem with our Human Resource Coordinators, providing administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including benefits administration, compensation analysis, creation of job descriptions and other HR Admin tasks as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains relationships and communications with internal partners, clients, and clients’ employees.

Manages the clients’ payroll process from start to finish.

Implement solutions that positively impact the entire client organization.

Examine existing client HCM/Payroll systems, interface specifications and operational needs to consult client in the practical system design and/or system configuration of client’s needs.

Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR Programs.

Performs necessary clerical functions.

Assists or prepares client and employee correspondence as requested.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working understanding of payroll principles, practices and procedures.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

Payroll and benefits experience required.

Client payroll onboarding experience preferred.

Knowledge of multiple payroll systems and platforms preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
