Payroll Coordinator

Touchette Hospital

This is a Full-time position in Sauget, IL posted February 22, 2021.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Payroll Coordinator assists in maintaining the confidential employee payroll records and enforcing the pre-established guidelines for Touchette Regional Hospital (TRH) and Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundations (SIHF). Helps ensure payroll is implemented accurately and timely.                            


Essential Functions and Duties:

Process the payroll for TRH/SIHF using Time and Attendance software thru ADP.   Assist with the necessary reports and figures to book the bi-weekly payroll.  Submit the 401-K contributions and match to Principal using their Web Product.  Maintain all bi-weekly, quarter-to-date and year-to-date reports.    



Position Qualifications:

·         High Schools Degree    

·         Two to five years (2-5) of job related experience.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel Software.

·         Good organizational skills.



Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

·         Certified Payroll Specialist.

·         Associate’s Degree

·         Three to five years (3-5) of payroll experience.

·         Mature personality with courteous and gracious demeanor toward the public.

·         Experience with ADP is a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • Transmitting payroll to payroll processing company
  • Maintain payroll files in payroll system
  • Maintain all employee payroll files and payroll records
  • Entering payroll data into the payroll system
  • Enter payroll corrections into the payroll system
  • Prepare payroll reports and analyze payroll trends
  • Drive bi-weekly payroll processes
  • Expedite confidential employee wage garnishments and payroll deductions
  • Balance the payroll by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Reconcile payroll Accounts and review the accuracy of payroll deductions to payroll reports
  • Demonstrate understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare payroll input to computerized payroll systems
  • Confirm quarterly payroll and tax reports from payroll provider
  • Filing employee and payroll records
  • Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Manage payroll tax returns, balance payroll accounts, and determine payroll liabilities
  • Completed payroll data for processing
  • Prepare monthly payroll information by entering payroll data to payroll system (Workday)
  • Process weekly payroll, taxes and garnishments
