Human Resources Director

With geographic expansion and growth through acquisitions, the organization is experiencing cultural change and organizational development opportunities.

The group is moving from being an Italian company to becoming an international organization.

In this shift, the Human Resources function plays a pivotal role, guiding and shaping the organization, establishing and implementing people processes, enabling and enhancing cultural change.

Thinking globally and acting locally, when integrating organizations in different geographies, is a critical aspect for the group.

The Position

Reporting to the US President, and functionally to the Group HR Director in Italy, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for challenging and driving performance with a major focus on organizational effectiveness, skill gap assessment, talent management and building future capabilities.

The organization has established a reputation for product quality and has strong roots in business and process innovation, and technology development.

The company has now decided to hire the head of the HR function in the US to help assess the local organization and build on existing strengths and development opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

Business Partnership
Building a strong and trusted relationship with the local President, working in collaboration with the Executive Team to understand the key business performance issues, objectives and drivers to develop a compelling people strategy that supports both immediate and future organizational goals.
Actively coaching, challenging, and influencing senior leadership to develop organizational capabilities required to achieve strategic business goals; anticipating the need for change and driving talent development.
Ensuring that existing and new HR policies and processes are consistent and aligned with the overarching Group objectives and guidelines.
Organization, hiring and other job functions

Build an HR Structure
Draft and propose HR directives, policies, processes, systems and programs to support the site, according to the Group HR guidelines
Plan and drive the implementation and application of HR directives, policies, processes, systems and programs throughout the organization
Hiring
Perform skill assessment gap analysis and develop organizational plans, including existing and new roles and functions.
Collaborate with the HR Corporate for reporting, salary review, performance review, headcount, etc.
Initiate job requisitions, source candidates, conduct interviews, assess candidates, negotiate employment terms and onboard new hires
Develop and implement new employees onboarding and orientation process
Manage employee terminations
Training & Talent Development
Create a talent development program based on organizational assessment and performed skill gap analysis
Develop training programs consistent with company needs and the talent development program
People/team management
Support managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues and work-related problems
Fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring team member retention
Help local management to align their operations and employee capabilities to the overall strategic directions and the mid-to-long term needs of the local operations
Safety
Promote Safety as a personal value and support the EHS Manager in day-by-day activities and on strategy.
Encourage preventive behaviors and manage risk avoidance through training, communication, and other measures
Conduct proper workplace investigations
Admin/payroll
Ensure that all personnel administration activities are carried out to guarantee a regular payroll management
Manage timekeeping (overtime, vacation, sick leaves, etc.)
Assess, develop and implement new Employee Benefits structure
Budget
Build and manage HR Budget
Requirements
Successfully completed Business/Law/Economic studies
5 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment with lean approach
Good Knowledge on the US labor law
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assignments quickly, strategic mindset, proactive approach, and ability to thrive in high-pressure situations that may involve confidential or sensitive matters
Must be flexible and adaptable, moving with agility between strategic and tactical matter demonstrating the ability to work well with all functions and organizational level in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and project management skills and high professional standards for work quality
MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
M/T or Fluent in English.
Spanish, Chinese, Italian or any other language is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00
– $140,000.00 per year
