Senior Electrical Engineer

Life Fitness

This is a Full-time position in Franklin Park, IL posted June 10, 2021.

The Senior Electrical Engineer works independently in the development of key electrical or software technologies necessary for the advancement of Life Fitness products including control and/or interface technologies.

This individual must demonstrate the experience and aptitude to solve complex engineering problems without supervision.

Assignments include research activities as well as working on product development teams.
This position will have specialists in both electrical systems development and software system development, but a previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in both disciplines is required.

• Provide expertise on the scientific theories behind the technologies in the areas of embedded microprocessor systems, control and display technologies, human body interfaces, AC and DC motor controllers, and digital signal processing

• Work independently on research activities and deliver outcomes that advance Life Fitness products.

• Lead design assignments on major development projects

• Leverage expert knowledge of electrical system architectures to convert theoretical concepts into practical solutions

• Provide technical leadership to other engineers and technicians

• Demonstrate work ethic that drives for results on all assignments

Job Requirements:

•                 15+ years of relevant engineering experience

•                 Demonstrated expertise in the design of real-time based microprocessor-based systems

•                 Proficiency in electromechanical systems

•                 Demonstrated industry expertise in multiple technological disciplines including embedded design, electrical systems, motor controls and digital signal processing

•                 A results-oriented approach to problem solving.

•                 B.S.

electrical engineering or B.S.

computer engineering required

•                 Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline highly desired
